Assessing Michael Cole as GM

Last week, Michael Cole announced that he would take over responsibilities as General Manager of NXT while William Regal recovers from neck surgery.


The declaration that Cole was “in charge” received a round of resounding boos from the Full Sail University audience. The reception was not helped by Cole’s first official announcement as GM: that after receiving word from “corporate”, the championship match between Eva Marie and Bayley would happen regardless of Regal’s previous wishes.

T.M.Z. BLOWS COVER ON LANA AND RUSEV! – Kayfabe in the age of social media

On Sunday, October 11th, TMZ broke the story that WWE superstars Rusev and Lana are engaged, and have been for a month.

Fantastic news for the happy couple, everyone at The Daily Jobber wishes them well in life and in love.


However, having the story publicized as widely as it was has thrown a wrench in the gears of the story-line in which Lana and Rusev’s characters are currently involved. Namely, they hate each other’s guts after their relationship dissolved months ago, Lana is hot for Dolph Ziggler, and Summer Rae is wanting to marry the Bulgarian.

What WWE should do with Lana’s character

Since bitterly dissolving her partnership with Rusev after Extreme Rules, the Ravishing Russian Lana has been a manager without a meal-ticket. Since then, she has seemingly decided that managing isn’t really her thing and that she’s much more of a fun-loving romantic at heart, finding herself irresistibly attracted to fellow golden-haired beach body,¬†Dolph Ziggler.


The paradigm shift has been a significant demotion, one disappointing to fans of Lana’s original gimmick.

Is too much reverse booking hurting WWE’s credibility?

Money In The Bank is happening this Sunday. The playing field is set and the players have been chosen. But how exactly were they chosen? Put that question to any observer or analyst and they will have their own opinions, put it to any fan and they will have theirs, but that is all they will have – opinions.


The fact of the matter is that WWE has selected the line-up of superstars with no apparent rhyme or reason. This whole situation reeks of reverse booking, and it insults the intelligence of the dedicated observer.
