Brock Lesnar continues to blur reality

At the 2015 edition of the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view special, Sunday October 25th, Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker faced off in the main event. It was built up as the final showdown between the two powerhouses, the culmination of their latest feud which began at WrestleMania XXX.

The match was a brutal and bloody brawl professionally pulled off by two masters of manipulating reality and make-believe. Like any well-constructed professional wrestling match, the audience was left wondering how much of the action was scripted and improvised, what was planned and off the cuff, what was a work and what was a shoot.

Brock Lesnar has made this blurring of lines separating kayfabe and reality part of his drawing power. It has become one of the biggest reasons he is so interesting to watch, besides of course his awesome physical ability and seamless psychology.

Alberto Del Rio returns to WWE!

Taking everyone by surprise, a feat not too common in the age of fast-moving information, Alberto Del Rio graced the WWE stageĀ for the first time since August 5th, 2014.

Not only that, but he did so in grand fashion, capturing his first United States Championship from John Cena at the Hell In A Cell pay-per-view special.

Del Rio is an extensively decorated superstar who boasts an impressive legacy in both Mexico and the US. In fact, in addition to his new US Title he is still AAA’s Mega Champion, a title he won from El Texano Jr on December 7th of last year.

Raw Visits the Windy City

Everytime the Big Fed comes to the city of Chicago, they face a challenge: how to entertain one of the most die-hard sports entertainment audiences in America.

Like New York/New Jersey and St. Louis, Chicago has developed a reputation over the years of being a town that will either love you or hate you, shower you with praise or eat you alive. It is a town where, if you carry a big-time reputation like the WWE, you better bring your very best.

Unfortunately, despite some solid action from some of the company’s best superstars, the crowd was largely unimpressed.
